who the hell is Jason Isaacs? (please, this is rhetorical - its obvious that he is nobody)

...and furthermore, as for his dare that everyone not watch his show - CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

^ Jason Isaacs has been in several shows, The OA, Dig, Awake to name a few. Now he's taking on Star Trek: Discovery, I guess William Shatner isn't too happy about it.

Original Star Trek captain William Shatner blocks Star Trek: Discovery captain Jason Isaacs on Twitter
“I’ve been blocked by @WilliamShatner,” Isaacs tweeted. “The unkindest cut of all. In what way have I broken the prime directive Captain? Was it the end of sentence minor-key uptick? The quizzical eyebrow (and blue eyeliner)? The just too-tight uniform? Forgive me my sins - it's an homage, I swear.” Although Shatner hasn’t publicly addressed the blocking, some point to an interview that Isaac did in which he hoped that Shatner would not guest-star on Discovery, though he added: “I’m happy to meet Will Shatner in real life in a restaurant.”

He also played Malfoy's dad in the Harry Potter movies...not that I watch those or anything.

^ Didn't know that. My son never really got into the Harry Potter movies so I didn't watch them. One of my nephews liked them, he would collect some kind of cards connected to the movies.

Currently, Jason Isaacs plays a Starfleet captain on the latest incarnation of Star Trek. (Ealrier this week, he was blocked on Twitter by OG captain, William Shatner.) But fifteen years ago, Isaacs was menacing Mel Gibson and Harry Potter in deliciously villainous roles. In this profile from the November 2002 issue of Movieline magazine, Isaacs discusses his turn to the dark side, which parts are the most fun to play and which director serves the best cake on set.

I got into it because of my older niece and nephews, this was before the first movie, I didn't know much about it. They wanted me to read the first book, I did out of curiosity and found my self entertained, and I love fantasy. At first I did feel silly reading these books, until I realized I wasn't the only adult reading them (even Stephen King is a huge fan), and I enjoy the films.
