To which Clover Hope responds: “Nice, but it’s possible to be both constructive and direct. Can they find a healthy medium without coddling contestants who aren’t all young kids?”

At Simon was honest. There were bad singers I'm glad never got careers.

This "everybody is a winner" and "don't hurt their feelings" stuff is just stupid.

Feelings are made to be hurt and sometimes the truth hurts. Get over it.

Good TV is hard to find, and it’s because people are too careful to make sure they aren’t hurting someone else’s feelings.
