I wonder what they would do if Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright or Yeardley Smith were to suddenly pass away.

I wonder that too, as whenever a voice actor passes away, they retire the character. They can't simply retire Homer or Marge or Bart or Lisa.

My guess is that the show will end once the main actors passed away.

Why would they do that when they can get other voice actors? The dude who did Homer in the first season sounds different than the one now. I thought I heard a report that the one who originally did Bart Simpson passed away, but maybe not. I know with Flintstones, they've had more than one for Barney Rubble.
