The original series was meant to be a fun, light comedy. This version sounds horrible.

Some people don't realize that Sabrina was part of the Archie series.
Melissa Joan Hart's sitcom has nothing to do w/ the new Riverdale version, and there were other adaptations of Sabrina as well. |

It may have been part of Archie but I would bet that Melissa's version is the most well known. The article says this show is in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist, it should have been based on those two then and leave Sabrina alone.

Though they did do a comic book series that was in the horror genre based on the Archie comics: Afterlife With Archie, and her own solo horror comic series. So it's not like the new TV show is anything new.
I did enjoy Afterlife With Archie. I'm just not a fan of how the series Riverdale is done. |
