TMC Member Forum Idol Join Date: Jan 09, 2001 Posts: 126,334	Why did black-and-white photography/film last so long? From the late 1830s (photography) and 1890s (film) to the mid-1960s, both mediums (movies and television) reigned supreme in black-and-white form. Why?
