Oh No Can we talk about what a TERROR Michelle Tanner was??

Michelle quite frankly was for the most part, an obnoxious, spoiled, selfish, narcissistic, snotty, annoying, smart-mouthed, disobedient, insolent BRAT.

Let's see:
  • That time she lost Comet on the street and had the NERVE to blame Uncle Jesse.

That time she tried to swindle Stephanie out of her Counting Crows concert ticket and the little cretin didn't even listen to the band.

That time she became "princess of the day" at Disneyland, got mad for being called out as selfish and then got her herself lost.

That time she thought she deserved to be Yankee Doodle purely based on nepotism and she threw a FIT when she didn't get the part.

And that's only the tip of the iceberg. But she was the baby, so she the apple of everyone's eye. For example, remember that episode when the girls were getting ready to watch the VMAs and Michelle started a pillow fight that broke the window, so Danny grounded them and said they couldn't watch the show. Then later on in the episode, Michelle took her kiddie pool into the kitchen and went swimming, and Danny blamed D.J. and Stephanie for not stopping her. She was always in the victim role, even when she was really in the wrong.

And it was beyond ridiculous that the whole family couldn't function unless Michelle was happy. Like after Jesse got married to Becky and couldn't move down the street because of poor little Michelle's tears.

Comet running off was Jesse's fault. He was supposed to walk him and he didn't.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. If Michelle was so terrible, I wonder who it is that she took after. Maybe Stephanie who backed Joey's car into the kitchen during season three or maybe D.J. who flooded the kitchen with cement during season seven?

You have to remember though that Michelle was only a little kid at the time (she was only like eight years old, when the show ended). And little kids will often be obnoxious and selfish and whatever you said Michelle was, because they're not mature enough yet to see the error of some of their actions. If anything, I feel that both DJ and Stephanie were a bit too well-behaved.

When it comes to the Yankee Doodle play, Jesse and Joey had promissed Michelle that she would get the role. So I feel that she had every right to be upset about them giving it to that other kid, even if their decision makes sense from a more grown-up perspective. Michelle was only like five years old at the time though, and I would hardly expect her to really grasp the concept of being a "team player".

And as for the episode when Michelle brought the kiddie pool into the kitchen, that is when she got her first punishment. So she didn't get away with her behavior after all.

And if a married couple doesn't have enough spine to stand up to a four-year-old and move out of the house, that is not the four-year-old's fault.

Kids do mistakes, you know. I don't remember the circumstances around DJ flooding the kitchen with cement. So even though it sounds bad, I will not comment on that incident right now. But as for Stephanie and the car, that was a complete accident. And it would never have happened, if only the adults hadn't left the girl and the car without any supervision.

^^^ While D.J. and Steve were making out in the cement truck one of them hit a gear that made part of the truck crash through the kitchen window.
Also let us not forget about Stephanie and DJ punching a hole in Danny's bedroom wall after they tore his closet up in season four and that was after D.J. and Kimmy let the family TV fall from the top of the stairs in season three. I believe that they both lied and cut school in order to meet their favorite music singer in the show's first season. Then of course came D.J.'s lying about the horse named Rocket in the second season. Also Stephanie's interest in other people's cars never went anywhere as we watched her and Gia go with them reckless driving high school boys in the final season too. Speaking of reckless car activity, didn't Kimmy and the three sisters lock themselves out of the car that her brother gave them permission to be in?

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. What I loved about Michelle ruining the museum dinosaur bones in season six was the fact that she owned up to it at the end of the episode when all that Danny and Jesse could do was tear into each other about it.

But several of those incidents (the cement, the hole in the wall, the broken TV set) were pure accidents, that the girls didn't do on purpose. And as for DJ cutting school to meet Susy Q, I'm actually on her side on that one. She asked her father for his permission to miss one measly school day to do something special, that might have been a once in a lifetime experience. But without even considering a compromise (like letting her meet Susy Q and then go to school for the rest of the day), Danny just had to be a killjoy and say no. So even though what DJ did might look bad on paper, I don't blame her one bit for doing it under those circumstances. And I feel that the other characters (including Joey and Stephanie) just overreacted with their anger towards DJ.

Sure, I guess that the Tanner sisters screwed up a couple of times over the years. That's part of being a kid, I guess. But I have always felt that Danny often was too strict with them over minor things and even accidents. But thank you for not joining in on the pathological hatred against Michelle.

Oh No

I kinda dislike Michelle Tanner for basically saying this..."I am Michelle, I am a little *****"!

The drowning the fish and letting the class bird go were accidents and she did feel bad about it...but the ep "Crimes and Michelle's Demeanor" seems that Michelle could get away with murder!

And now...even Michelle isn't on Fuller House, I wonder is we can have this?...

Yet again, Michelle was only a little kid acting like many little kids do. And I completely disagree with the idea, that she could get away with murder. Michelle was in fact punished several times over the years, even for things which were out of her control (like for example when she and Stephanie ended up on an airplane to New Zeeland) or for things like following DJ to the movies even though she would have been home alone if she hadn't followed DJ.

^^^ What you name there are two things that Michelle did get a punishment for. She and Stephanie were both grounded for a month after getting on that plane. All three girls were punished for lying about being at the movie theater.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. In other words, maybe Michelle didn't get away with murder after all like some people here think. The only thing that I can think of her not being punished for was when she ran up the phone bill by calling someone in Japan, but she was only like three or four years old, therefore, she didn't how much it was costing her family. Danny did give her a pretend phone to use instead.

When Full House was starting out and Michelle Tanner was an infant I always thought that DJ was always the one who always never got what she wanted because I always thought DJ and Stephanie always tried to compete for who was the best one at everything. Take for instance when DJ tried to get the part in the Oat Boats cereal commercial in the episode Sisterly Love but Stephanie got the part in the commercial DJ felt left out and even though Danny tried to tell DJ that even though she did her best Stephanie was more worthy of the part. A second example was when DJ was forced to sleep with Michelle when chicken pox broke out in the Tanner household in the episode A Pox In Our House while Stephanie was sick with chicken pox I think DJ felt that with a baby in the house DJ was afraid that she would not get the most attention now that Michelle was a baby. But when Michelle grew up I think she showed her behavior because she wanted to show everyone that she was grown up and ready for the world. Take for instance in the Full House episode when Uncle Jesse goes missing Michelle became very very angry and she thought that Uncle Jesse was gonna be gone forever. A second example was when in the episode Baby Love when Michelle becomes friends with her new friend Howie when he visited her and when Howie had to leave Michelle started throwing a fit and started screaming for Howie and nobody came and calmed her down. But I think when Jesse and Becky's twin sons Nicky and Alex were added to the show Michelle's personality started to show a lot more because Michelle thought she was still the apple of everyone's eye

Honestly I think they were all brats at one point or another. Michelle was really cute when the series started but toward the end, I was glad that they didn't extend the series another season because she wasn't cute anymore. I haven't watched the show in forever (thanks to it being "ruined" in my mind by "Fuller House"... I won't get into that) but at the moment I don't have any examples to give. I know there were plenty, however.
