N.W.A., Björk, Wu-Tang Clan, Josh Groban, Indigo Girls, Velvet Underground, Miles Davis, Phish, Judas Priest, Sublime, The Ramones, The Stooges and even Bob Marley and Marilyn Manson are pretty big artist who never had Top 40 hits in the US. Which are your underappreciated (at least charts wise) artist?

Back in 1999, I was crazy about a guy in country music named Shane Minor. His first song on the radio named "Slave To The Habit" took him the farthest getting as high as #20.
