Joey Lawrence and Brothers Eyeing Return to TV With New Series (Exclusive)

Whoa! The Lawrence Brothers are eyeing a return to television, TooFab has learned.

Cashing in on the '90s nostalgia currently sweeping pop culture, Joey, Matthew and Andy Lawrence said they're "pretty close" to signing onto a new series with Pop TV.

"First time in 15 years I think we're pretty close to doing it again," Joey told TooFab on Thursday at the premiere of Pop TV's "Hollywood Darlings" and "Return of the Mac."

"Pop has expressed interest. Nothing is signed, we'll probably be putting out a trade release in about a month."

"Single camera, edgy, very funny," he said. "Something that I think we're gonna have a lot of fun with, it'll be the first time in 15 years that the three of us have worked together in that capacity, so it's going to be a lot of fun."

A spokesperson for Pop TV could not be reached for comment.

But a Lawrence brother project would seem to be a programming match for the network's new fare "Hollywood Darlings," starring former child stars Jodie Sweetin, Beverley Mitchell and Christine Lakin as exaggerated versions of themselves and "Return of the Mac" with New Kids on the Block's Joey McIntyre.

Joey Lawrence is set to appear on the McIntyre's show during its upcoming first season.

The trio last series "Brotherly Love" ran from 1995-1996 on NBC before jumping to The WB.

I hope it gets good ratings... I do enjoy the ep that Nell Carter made a cameo...ever since Nell and the Lawrence Brothers got together on GAB...they became friends until Nell's death in 2003.

I enjoyed Brotherly Love. It will be interesting to see how the three brothers work together now that all three are adults.
