From what I've seen, I'd say infinitely so.
I resisted "Friends" for a while, but once I gave it a chance, I found myself laughing, a lot. The characters were likable and the actors playing them really imbued them with energy and love. I watched maybe two episodes of HIMYM, and honestly, did not laugh once. All the jokes were predictable, the characters unlikable stereotypes. Nope, not even close. |

I feel that Friends in its prime had high dimensional characters, they had some quirks, they had some different characteristics, and they even had other odd characters like Ugly Naked Guy, Duck and Chick, and that weird neighbor!
I can't even watch HIMYM despite the main character coming from Cleveland and Clevelanders writing the show. That guy seemed one dimensional...the only one that wasn't one dimensional was Barney Stinson and he's so much of an ******* that he's completely unlikable and it drags the show! Friends for the Win! |
