CBS Renews "Blue Bloods" for 8th Season

CBS Renewed 16 Shows

Veteran shows "Blue Bloods", "Hawaii Five-0", "Life in Pieces", "Madam Secretary", "Mom", "NCIS: Los Angeles", "NCIS: New Orleans", "Scorpion", "Survivor", "48 Hours" and "60 Minutes" will all return for the 2017-18 season.

Thanks for the news! I saw Tom Selleck on one of them day time talk shows not too long ago and he said on there that if Blue Bloods got an 8th season, there would then be more episodes of the show than there were made for his Magnum P.I. series.

Last night's episode of this show.......I can deal with the fact that I was wrong, I thought Danny's house being on fire would be the final straw, but how wrong I ended up being is what makes me want to smack the freaking CRACK out of the show writer who hates the character of Danny enough to do what has been done to him!!!

P.S. If what happened just had to happen, why couldn't it have happened later on this season instead of not even a month after that fire was set to Danny's house???

I have a question for anyone who watches this show. Erin's ex husband is named Jack. Danny's oldest son is also named Jack. It would follow that the younger Jack was named after his uncle... but according to the show, Danny always hated Jack. So why the heck would he name his son after a man he hates?

In the article it states that Amy Carlson did not want to continue on Blue Bloods. Knowing that news now, I definitely don't think the writers hate Danny. I think Linda dying is more honorable than if they had tried having her and Danny separated or divorced, or recast Linda.

Blue Bloods cast reacts to Amy Carlson's exit

I'm still watching "Blue Bloods" this season -- but it isn't the same show without Amy Carlson.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with Danny's character now.
