As we all know, How I Met Your Mother told us the long story about how Ted Mosby met his wife. But during the final season, each character met the mother through their own ways.

Lily: Met her on a train and bonded with her over family drama.

Barney: Hit on her during a bet and ended up getting advice on moving on with his life.

Marshall: Got a ride with her while she was in the process of stealing a vehicle.

Robin: Tackled her while trying to run from her own wedding.

Of those four, who had the best story? Or do none of them even come close to overcoming the story of Ted Mosby?

Barney with a slight edge over Lily.

who cares about Ted's story, they were only together for a couple of episodes anyways.
