What went wrong with 'V (2009)'? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It opened to very strong ratings, had the nostalgia of the '80s V series, mostly praised by critics, had a good cast and great special effects! Then the ratings dropped and before we knew it that was it. So what was it that failed to keep people hooked?

I think V was expensive to produce and it wasn’t bringing in ratings large enough to justify the costs. Plus the writers seemed to be winging it, not knowing which episode would be the last.
