Whether through an update, a new version, a redesign, a reboot, a retelling, a re-imagining, or new management (e.g. a TV show writing change). It will also help if you give us a line or two about why the original was so much better.

Original-recipe Hawaii Five-O (1968-80 on CBS) had the late, great Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett, and one of the greatest title tracks in television history. Now, we have an incredibly adulterated Hawaii Five-0 that started in 2010, and it is far too fast-paced, and has Alex O'Loughlin as Steve, and has a much too short version of the original title track.

It probably shouldn't be on this board but one show that comes to mind was the short-lived 2001 revival of Card Sharks. This incarnation, hosted by Pat Bullard, eliminated what I thought was the best part of the show, the survey questions and used Street Smarts like elements. The Jim Perry and Bob Eubanks versions were way better than the Bullard version and had a much longer run.

One big thing was the communal row of seven cards, instead of separate rows for each player as it was before. With the communal row of cards, you could run the cards 6 of 7, but make one mistake and you're handing the game to your opponent.

We all have our own opinions but In MY Humble Opinion they have ruined every show they've rebooted.

I just prefer the originals and feel like if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I guess they are all brain dead and out of fresh original idea's but of course none of the new shows are worth watching either....at least for me.

To add on to what I said about the current Hawaii Five-0 w/Alex O'Loughlin: it seems now (at least IMO) far too much like Miami Vice was from 1984-89 on NBC, so much so that you could probably refer to it as "Hawaii Vice."

I've only seen a few clips, but Fuller House seems to be trying a little too hard to remind us its a revival from the 90s. We get it, you're not being clever with the "Did you see that?" *winkwinknudge* references.

A lot of newer revivals, esp. on NBC, missed the memo that the original shows were campy and had moments of humor. If you remember the revivals of The Bionic Woman or Knight Rider (c. 2007-08), they often took themselves too seriously.

I mean...how serious can you take a show about a woman with superhuman strength or a talking car?
