To me, what matters is that Zack learned about how it all started for his family which is why I love the episode.

Maybe I'm being ignorant, but I don't understand why Mark-Paul apologized. His character doesn't take the family tree project seriously, gets called out by Ms. Wentworth for disrespecting the class and his ancestors, isn't allowed to compete in the next track meet until he does a thorough report on his ancestry, gets help from Chief Henry to research his family history, and gives a great, more detailed presentation on his Native American roots, and Zack shows pride in his heritage. It was a good lesson on knowing your family history and being proud of the great things about it. Plus, the casting of late actor Dehl Berti (who played Chief Henry) legitimized the whole espisode because he was Native American.
I don't think Mark-Paul needed to apologize, but maybe I'm wrong. |
