This ‘Arrested Development’ Remix Of The Presidential Debate Isn’t A Huge Mistake

Arrested Development season five is premiering on Netflix in May 2016. Wait, it’s actually before the presidential election. On second thought, make that sometime in 2017, but it’s “definitely going to happen,” according to creator Mitchell Hurtwitz. “I say that because the actors want to do it, the studio wants to do it, Netflix wants to do it, I want to do it. It’s just making it happen.” But will that day ever come, where between 15 and 22 new episodes of Arrested Development slide into Netflix like Pete Rose going head first?

Maybe, but hopefully not for a few more months. We’re busy catching up on Luke Cage, Easy, and, oh yeah, pulling our hair out watching out the presidential debates. The idea of revisiting Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton: Round I, which only happened in late September but seems like an eternity ago, sounds about as appetizing as eating a dead dove, but here comes the Narrator to make it all better. YouTube user NeverCaesar used Ron Howard’s omnipresent voice to fact check some of Trump’s (or Mr. F’s?) “endless lies.” The new intro: “Now the story of a wealthy family who lost all dignity, and the one man who had no choice but to keep running a campaign of ignorance. It’s Trump-rested Development.” Hurwitz even tweeted the mashup.

“A sneak preview of Arrested Development Season 5.” That’s a good joke.
