‘Law & Order: SVU’ Season 17 Finale: A Heartbreaking Ending, A New Beginning

With one final installment, season 17 of SVU has come to a close - but not without a bit of shock and awe, something that has become somewhat of an SVU signature in recent years, particularly, say, the last five. This episode featured part two of last week’s storyline (hmmmm, a continuing storyline - something also rather new in the Law & Order universe), as Rikers corrections officer Gary Munson was indicted on numerous counts of rape after several inmates testified before a grand jury that he’d repeatedly assaulted them. When he was initially being arrested, Sergeant Benson encouraged his wife, who was standing by him at the time, to take a real look at her husband and their relationship. Benson also urged the woman to get tested for sexual transmitted diseases.

I did nit like the episode. The first episode was excellent and thought it was the season finale, so I was surprised to see the second half. The whole hostages in the house was pretty lame and done 10,000 times before. I knew the cop was going to get shot and die.
