TV CBS Cancels "Angel from Hell"

"Angel from Hell" Canceled at CBS
February 8, 2016
by Lesley Goldberg

CBS' "Angel from Hell" won't get its wings.

The network has pulled the freshman comedy, starring Jane Lynch and Maggie Lawson, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

"2 Broke Girls" will take over "Angel from Hell's" Thursday at 9:30 p.m. slot starting Feb. 18. This week, a repeat of "The Big Bang Theory" will air in the slot.

It's unclear if any of the remaining "Angel from Hell" episodes will air — and if so, where or when.

Huh! I'd rather they moved Mike & Molly to that time slot.
As it is now, M&M & 2Broke clash with The Middle & The Goldbergs.
2Broke, although manages to produce laughs, tends to keep the humor focused in a crotch or chest, ALL THE TIME. It's gotten overboard IMO.
Moving M&M would be better... oh well.

Angel from Hell tried though. Last week when she (Lynch) was chatting it up with another angel, and they referred to rules and not being 'seen by management' while in the shower... it got me thinking... maybe they are from Hell and it's some kind of program for minor offenders to get in Heaven.
At least it didn't keep us in suspense for 2 - 3 seasons, only to cancel without conclusion.
A thing I'm getting sick of happening.

Mike & Molly is already cancelled so obviously 2 Broke Girls is the better choice to salvage.

I love Maggie Lawson but maybe she can't be the main character or carry a show by herself (not that Jane Lynch wasn't her co-star)

I thought the show was OK but the writing was pretty weak and I can't stand that Kyle Boringheimer guy that played her brother

Default CBS’s ‘Angel From Hell’ Crashes and Burns

You know the saying: “Too much of a bad thing …” CBS abruptly cancelled its run of TV series ‘Angel From Hell’ only five episodes into its first season. Less than halfway through the 13-episode series, CBS pulled the show rather mysteriously from its weekly time slot.

It may be just as well for the crass parody of the religious belief in guardian angels, which enjoyed modest ratings among adults 18-49.
