Ranking the best and worst World Series TV announcers
Inspired by the recent USA Today article from Chris Chase regarding the best and worst Super Bowl announcers. Please note, that I'm not including announcers who were there solely as representatives of the participating teams (but full-time network employees). Therefore, NBC's Curt Gowdy could be considered the first real World Series announcer who represented the network and not the participating teams (beginning in 1966). 1976 was the last time that announcers from the participating teams in some sort of capacity, worked on the network TV broadcasts of the World Series.
