Thumbs up Did anyone see "A coat of many colors", Dolly Parton movie?

It was a beautiful made for TV movie on a few nights ago. A biography of Dolly and her family when she was a little girl. It centered a lot around that song of Dolly's 'A coat of many colors" which was a true story of a coat her Mom made her, and all the kids at school made fun of it! I watched it with my son's girlfriend , it was very heartfelt, we were in tears during parts of it! And it was very sweet, fun and uplifting as well! The little girl who played Dolly (Alyvia Alyn Lind ) was FANTASTIC!!! A really good choice to play her! She was adorable!

And Jennifer Nettles, Ricky Schroeder and Gerald McRaney were really good as her parents and Grandfather!

Yes. It was an excellent movie, very nice to see a positive portrayal of Christianity on a broadcast network for a change. And Coat of Many Colors did well in the ratings, won both its hours in the demo.

Default Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors: “A TV movie like mama used to make”

http://variety.com/2015/tv/reviews/d...ie-1201653799/

The NBC movie based on Parton’s early life is unabashedly schmaltzy.

I loved that movie! I wish they made more movies like that these days.

I'm a huge Dolly fan so I made an appointment to watch it.

I wasn't disappointed any. Excellent movie I would highly recommend anyone watching. I'm hoping they release it on DVD.

I know! I thought it was as good if not better than a movie that was made for the theatre! The acting was really good!

I love Dolly!!! And that little actress was just like how I would picture Dolly as a child, sweet yet sassy!! As her Mama would say " Dolly Rebecca Parton" Perfect casting!!! And Ricky Schroeder (the little boy from Silver Spoons) all grown up and playing the Father and playing the part so very well!!!
