Basically, which person or incident did the most harm or was the most embarrassing for the sport?

PED's without a doubt. It's the main reason why I refuse to watch baseball games to this day. My biggest gripe though is a personal one. I was a huge collector of sportscards and accumulated a large collection of Bonds, Canseco Clemens, McGwire, Palmeiro, Rodriguez & Sosa rookie cards and some were quite valuable but when the PED's scandal hit they plummeted in price. Luckily, I still have my basketball collection.

PED's runined the game almost. Myself being a Chicago Cubs fan got so mad and still mad at SamME Sosa for cheating fans. Sure '98 was nice but when you go from a stick figure when you first get traded to the Cubs in '92 to a roided out slugger with an attitude that the team didnt matter in the matter of a few years. That's what did it for me. I'm still a Cubs fan but by no means a Sammy Sosa fan.

The strike of 1994 made my list. It was the only time the game got abrupted and everyone lost!

The 1994 strike made barely a dent compared to the PED's scandal. A player on strike doesn't affect their game performance but PED's do. The only thing I hated during the strike was the use of replacement players.
I also don't consider Pete Rose to be a black mark, the man belongs in the Hall of Fame.
