FX started out as a "rerun farm" in the mid-1990s before it launched an original series (The Shield) in 2002. It is currently a hybrid of a feature-movie network and a "rerum farm". If this (FX becoming a premium-cable network) becomes a reality, then what will happen to the reruns of Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, and Mike & Molly? Premium-cable channels aren't rerun farms (although Encore's Classic, Black, Suspense and Westerns channels have re-ran series programming).
