TV Megan Fox To Recur on "New Girl"

Megan Fox Joins "New Girl" as Recurring
by Nellie Andreeva
September 17, 2015

Transformers star Megan Fox is returning to her TV series roots, signing on for a recurring role on the upcoming fifth season of the Fox comedy "New Girl".

She will play Reagan, a gorgeous, straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep who comes to town on business and shakesNew Girl logo things up in the loft when she rents out Jess’ (Zooey Deschanel) room while she is sequestered on jury duty.

Fox will debut in the sixth episode of the upcoming season, scheduled to premiere in January.

It’s insane to me that such a gorgeous person can be so funny, but I guess we just all have to accept it,” "New Girl" creator/executive producer Liz Meriwether said of Fox.

I’ve been a fan of her comedic skills since This Is 40, and I’m so excited to have her on the show. We had Megan in mind when we wrote this part – she’s the perfect person to come in and shake these guys up.

Default New Girl could benefit from Megan Fox’s guest stint

The Fox comedy could use a character who distracts the guys with her beauty.

There is absolutely, positively No Replacing Zooey on this show ( not even for a minute or two.) PERIOD.

wow - did the roommates get a new broom and they found the one actress that was capable of displaying that level of emotion?

I like this move because I know it's going to tick some people off and might even kill the show. Then again, this may make me want to tune in. Megan Fox is cooler than Zooey because she annoys some people. I never cared for The New Girl character because I'm not into hipster chicks who give the aura of acting like they're hot s**t and copping a snarky attitude. The New Girl is what keeps me from wanting to watch The New Girl, and this might change that.

I respect your opinion, but I gotta ask you what show are you watching that makes you think that Zooey is "acting like they're hot s**t and copping a snarky attitude" That's not even a close description of the character she is playing on the show. Upbeat and incredibly hopeful bordering on naieve, maybe. . .but I assure you; she is not at all what you claim she is. Again, I respectfully defer.

Thanks for the respect. However all I'm going to say is that's my perception and what has kept me away from the show.

If I'm wrong, I'm glad to hear it. Still probably won't watch the show, but if my impressions are wrong about it, good.

Default New Girl immediately put Megan Fox in the shower with Hannah Simone

Apparently none of the guys were on set for the filming of their first scene together.

"New Girl" Showrunner Teases Megan Fox's Arc: "She's Not Putting Up with Any of their Crap"
by Ariana Bacle
2/9/15

The men of "New Girl" mostly live in their own bubble of equally bizarre, equally immature roommates — but that bubble’s about to burst thanks to an upcoming arc on the show starring Megan Fox as Reagan, a pharmaceutical rep who moves in while Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is off serving jury duty.

Most of the characters in the show are very weird and neurotic and not really type-A characters, and so she’s coming in and shaking them up a little bit,” showrunner Liz Meriwether tells EW.

What’s great is that she’s this really tough-talking, strong, truth-telling character that comes into the loft and kind of calls everybody out. She’s not putting up with any of their crap in a great way.

That no-nonsense attitude is on full display in an exclusive clip from her first episode on the show, where Reagan confronts a doctor in front of a waiting room full of his patients.

Default Before Megan Fox came aboard, New Girl creator was “terrified” about doing 6 episodes

http://www.hitfix.com/whats-alan-wat...-in-a-cool-way

Liz Meriwether says of Fox’s addition, which starts tonight: "I was worried about how this would work, but she was just amazing, and her comedic rhythms fit in with the group in a really cool way. She's so dry, she can just destroy you with just a look. Which was great, because we have a lot of characters who are big and loud and talk a lot, and she doesn't say a ton, but is very pointed when she does talk. I think she's great on the show, and I really think she's funny in a cool way. Which was exciting for me.”

Megan Fox Returning to "New Girl" for Major Season 6 Stint
by Michael Ausiello
July 28, 2016

So… Nick and Reagan’s summer in New Orleans apparently went well. Megan Fox has signed on to return to "New Girl" in Season 6 for a huge arc (as many as eight episodes!), TVLine has learned exclusively.

In the Fox comedy’s Season 5 finale, Nick (Jake Johnson) informed Jess (Zooey Deschanel) that he intended to spend three months in the Big Easy with sorta-girlfriend Reagan (Fox) as she adjusts to her new job. However, when Nick reappears at the loft at the start of Season 6 don’t expect Reagan to be on his arm. Sources confirm that the character won’t resurface until midseason.

(A fall return was ruled out in light of the fact that Fox is due to give birth to her third child with husband Brian Austin Green any day now).

The actress joined "New Girl" last fall to temporarily fill the void left by leading lady Zooey Deschanel during her maternity leave. Her run was so well received that producers booked her for additional episodes later in the season, including the May finale.

"New Girl‘s" sixth season premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 8:30/7:30c on Fox.
