Default Jim Parsons is now TV’s highest-paid actor

http://www.forbes.com/sites/maggiemc...-million-take/

According to Forbes, The Big Bang Theory star earned $29 million between June 1st of last year and June 1st of this year, thanks to his big TV salary plus an Intel endorsement deal and his hit Broadway play An Act of God. His co-star, Johnny Galecki, is No. 2, earning $27 million. PLUS: See the complete list of highest-paid TV actors .

Sofia Vergara is the highest paid actress on TV. With all the reruns and everything I herd Ray Ramono is worth 100 million. Why would Ed O'Neail be worth less then Jessie or Ty when he was well known for Married with Children?

Edit: Just to add that I think it's reprehensible that an actor making $10 million plus supplements it by doing ads. I don't care if they give every penny away - there's someone down at the bottom of the acting chain waiting tables or driving a cab who could do that little commercial if the stars would bypass them. John Krasinsky doing insurance ads definitely accelerated my separation from "The Office" and the tons by ads by Vergara, and Parsons' recent ads, have made me less interested in seeing their shows.
I can see your point - and indeed you DO have one. Looking at this from the advertiser's point of view; I can most certainly see why they would prefer a big name. A huge celebrity name has a HUGE following. The commercial would be noticed 100 times more than if it were helmed by a no-name (albeit, just as talented) actor than by a already filthy rich celebrity.

He more than deserves it, he makes TBBT a hit show although the rest of the cast is great too. However looking at some of the other highest paid actors on other shows one can hardly say people are tuning in to see them to warrant such a big paycheck.

Sheldon Cooper is keeping sitcoms alive, so it makes sense that the actor playing him should be paid the most.

I love it when celebrities endorse products, so I have to disagree with you. If someone wanted to hire me as a spokesman I would do it. I couldn't blame anybody for doing it. Commercials would be a lot more boring than they already are if celebs didn't appear in them now and then.
