Default Fred Savage: We'll never return for a Wonder Years reboot

http://www.people.com/article/fred-s...years-reunion?

We'll never see a grown-up Kevin and Winnie.

Good. I don't think we need to see a grown up Kevin and Winnie. Leave perfection alone.

Plus if they did make a reunion either show or movie, they would need to dub Daniel Stern's voice over Fred Savage's acting. Since he was always the voice of adult Kevin.

I'm kind of torn. While I want to see the questions about the gang's senior year (would Paul be valedictorian? (Or as Wayne says VALEDORIAN! LOL) Where would they go to college? etc.) addressed, I am afraid that they could include content which would roil the fine folks at the Parents Television Council. Plus, with Kevin/Fred Savage being 39 and Winnie/Danica McKellar being 40, I do not see myself watching a reunion, as much as I loved the show and crowed about it in the early days of SitcomsOnline.

I guess what happened to the gang is better left to the imagination.

THIS.

I suppose they wouldn't bother approaching Dan Lauria to return seeing as his character apparently died not long after the final episode took place.

I for one wouldn't want to see a rebooted Wonder Years. Now I am positive since Fred Savage doesn't want it it will not happen.

I do however enjoy what they did with bringing Girl Meets World to the televison screen. It is different though because the central characters are the two young girls Rowan(Riley) and Sabrina(Maya). If they brought back The Wonder Years with a grown up Kevin and Winnie in a different era as well. I just don't think it would work.

I would like to see Kevin, Paul, and Winnie at college. Like a series of The Wonder Years where they have senior year then go to college. But, the way the show ended Kevin kinda tells you what happened with everyone. He says his mom got a promotion or something with a job, his dad passed away a couple yrs later, Karen had twins, Winnie went to France or somewhere to study art and lived there for a while and when she came back he greeted her with his wife and kids, Wayne worked at Norcom, and I forget what he said about Paul. But, he kinda told what had happened with everyone, so it seems kinda nice how they ended it and he told what happened with them. If they did a reboot it would either have to be them as adults and they'd have to have everything as Kevin had said it was in the last episode and it'd be kinda weird maybe or they'd have to have new actors playing all the roles because they're grown up and that'd be totally weird. So, I think it is best left as it was though I'd love to see them senior yr and going to college and all. Kinda like they did with Saved By The Bell when they did the college years, but it never was as good as the original at all. Sometimes a show ends well and I guess should just be left that way to not ruin it I guess and this may be one of those.

I wonder just how *comfortable* Kevin's wife was when they met Winnie at the Airport? lol

In the final narration I remember Kevin saying that grown up Paul was still allergic to everything but I'm unsure what was said about him career wise.
