Default 11 TV Characters That Should Be Brought Back On Different Shows

http://www.buzzfeed.com/jtyboone/11-...rought-ba-o71h

Quote:
1. Sydney Bristow on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Last We Saw Her: Agent Sydney Bristow (played for five seasons on Alias by the incomparable Jennifer Garner) had semi-retired from the spy game and was living on an island with Vaughn and their two kids.

Why It Could Work: Garner was basically born to be in the MCU. Since she’s not going to play a female superhero in one of their movies anytime soon (the options are, er, limited), utilize Sydney’s specific set of skills on S.H.I.E.L.D. It’s but a hop, skip, and jump away from the CIA/SD-6/APO.

2. Ned the Pie Maker on iZombie

Last We Saw Him We’ve been missing Ned (played by Lee Pace) for longer than we knew him: Pushing Daisies aired for only two seasons, ending in 2009. And even though Ned got as happy of an ending as could be expected, we want more Pie Maker.

Why It Could Work: Ned without Chuck isn’t ideal, but beggars can’t be choosers. There’s no show right now that quite captures the wonderful weirdness of Pushing Daisies, but maybe Ned’s first-touch-life-second-touch-dead-forever shtick could work among The CW’s undead.

3. Buffy Summers on The Vampire Diaries

Last We Saw Her: After seven seasons of alternately slaying vampires and falling in love with them, Buffy (as played by Sarah Michelle Gellar) saved the world, though the town of Sunnydale didn’t fare quite as well. She’s lived on in comics, but it’s not the same.

Why It Could Work: Vampires, vampire slayers — do we need to spell it out? SMG hasn’t had the best of luck returning to TV (#BringBackTheCrazyOnes); meanwhile Vampire Diaries is a proven hit that’s in desperate need of a female lead, now that Nina Dobrev has departed.

4. Veronica Mars on The Good Wife

Last We Saw Her: Veronica Mars (aka Kristen Bell) is everyone’s favorite tiny, blonde private eye. We know the Veronica Mars movie was all about how you can take the girl out of Neptune, but you can’t take Neptune out of the girl, but…

Why It Could Work: We also found out that Veronica graduated from law school. Alicia could use a new lawyer/investigator now that Kalinda is out of the picture. Another option: Veronica was basically a “fixer,” right? Hire her at Olivia Pope & Associates.

5. Amanda Tanen on The Mindy Project

Last We Saw Her: Amanda (Becki Newton) was the face of MODE magazine for years on Ugly Betty. Well, she was the receptionist, so she was the first face you saw when you walked into the MODE offices. Whatever, she was flawless.

Why It Could Work: Mindy Project’s move to Hulu could result in some inter-office shuffling, and Amanda has more than enough reception experience to land a job at Shulman & Associates. Could you even imagine a conversation between Amanda and Tamra (Xosha Roquemore)?

6. Tami Taylor on Girls

Last We Saw Her: Mrs. Coach and her perfect hair (that’s Connie Britton and her real-life perfect hair, y’all!) became the Dean of Admissions at Braemore College in Philadelphia, only a stones throw from Brooklyn.

Why It Could Work: Really, we would be happy if Britton decided to just play Tami Taylor on Nashville, but hear us out: We don’t need Tami to be a series regular on Girls. Maybe just a one-episode cameo where she and Hannah, who is a teacher now, are at the same education convention. And Tami gives Hannah some much needed life advice.

7. Karen Walker on Orange Is the New Black

Last We Saw Her: We actually saw Karen (played to nasally perfection by Megan Mullally) in 2028 — the Will & Grace series finale showed her still living with Jack and her maid slash best friend Rosario — but what about those years we missed in-between?

Why It Could Work: The Mysteries of Laura would be too on the nose, wouldn’t it? And you’re going to tell us Karen Walker never ended up in prison? At least once? Please. We’d love to see a more stripped down version of Karen and really tap into the emotion behind the martini buzz.

8. Barney Stinson on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

Last We Saw Him: Some people weren’t exactly thrilled with how Barney’s (Neil Patrick Harris) story wrapped up in the How I Met Your Mother finale — even if the scene with his newborn daughter was legen — wait for it — really freaking sweet.

Why It Could Work: Obviously Crazy Ex-Girlfriend hasn’t aired yet, but we think Barney’s crazy would perfectly blend with star Rachel Bloom’s brand of crazy. Plus: Barney sings, a special skill they didn’t utilize enough on HIMYM. Whereas Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is a musical, so there will be singing all the time!

9. Clair Huxtable on Black-ish

Last We Saw Her: Clair Huxtable (Phylicia Rashad, show some respect) was America’s mom. She was also a pillar of feminism, something we still need more of on TV today. Clair was strong, confident, a boss (literally — she was partner at her law firm).

Why It Could Work: Well, The Cosby Show certainly isn’t coming back anytime soon. Black-ish isn’t a copy cat, but it’s also not surprising that the two often get compared. Why not honor its predecessor — and give us what we really want — by bringing back Clair? We’d love to see her put Grandpa Johnson (Lawrence Fishburne) in his place.

10. Seth Cohen on Married

Last We Saw Him: Life in the O.C. (and on The O.C.) wasn’t always glamorous: Seth (Adam Brody) survived death and destruction, hookups and breakups, and got his happy ending by finally marrying Summer (Rachel Bilson). We assume that Captain Oats and Princess Sparkle got married too.

Why It Could Work: It makes sense that a hipster from Orange County would relocate to L.A. Seth (and hopefully Summer) as a struggling 30-something artist trying to make it in the industry fits perfectly with Married. Russ (Nat Faxon) and Lina (Judy Greer) seem like they’d be into Chrismukkah too.

11. Dr. John Carter on Code Black

Where She’s From: We miss seeing Noah Wyle in a hospital every week. (You can see him elsewhere on TV in The Librarians.) Dr. Carter left County General — and E.R. — to join Doctors Without Borders in Season 11, but in the final season, returned to the States and the emergency room.

Why It Could Work: Isn’t this show basically E.R.?
