Sad Confirmed: The Olsen Twins Won't be Appearing on "Fuller House"

"Fuller House" EP Confirms Olsen Twins Not Returning as Michelle
by Andy Swift
5/22/15

Someone tell Danny not to bother saving a seat for Michelle at the Tanner family dinner table. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen aren't set to appear in Netflix’s "Fuller House", according to the series’ executive producer Robert L. Boyett.

Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them, and they are still very much considered family,” Boyett said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House.

"Fuller House" centers around former "Full House" cast members Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber, now all-grown-up and living together following the death of DJ’s husband. (Don’t worry, it’s not Steve.)

Additional Tanner family members are set to appear throughout the series, though it looks like Michelle won’t be counted among them.

.
Wow, how original.
It's the same scenario as the original.... Danny is struggling after his wife dies and decides to let Jesse and Joey live with him.
Recycled storyline plots???

John Stamos on Olsen Twins Not Joining "Fuller House"
by Erik Pedersen
May 22, 2015

Shortly after news of the Olsen twins’ decision broke, a disappointed Stamos weighed on Twitter that he was “heartbroken,” but that he wished the duo well.

"#heartbroken"

"I understand they're in a different place and I wish them the best. I promise you will not be dissapointed with our reunion and spin off!!"

Stamos elaborated on Facebook:

Just so you reporters know – this is not a money gig for any of us- quite the opposite – we want to give the fans what they deserve for supporting us for so many years- we all just want to have fun – do it in a classy way on Netflix and have a good time - sad that a few don’t share the rest of the cast’s opinion – I can only wish them the best – JS

I say recast Michelle, since MK and Ashley seem to think they're too good for this

that's right.

I'm really getting sick and tired of the 90's nostalgia, let it rest.

They made their millions from Full House I can see why they don't want to be strap into a commitment doing a TV series that could last five years. I'm surprise they continue to do some acting work in the 2000s. I wonder who buys their fashion and beauty products? I always thought Ashley Olsen was the cute one.

So basically everyone from the original series is coming back except for the Olsens?

Is Steve coming back or was he the husband that died?

What about Nicky and Alex?

It was mentioned that Steve is not the husband who died, but there has been no word on Scott coming back. John Stamos is EP, but I haven't seen confirmation that he will be reprising onscreen.

Also, no word on Nicky and Alex. Everyone else is set to come back.

Default Michelle Tanner will have a Fuller House "presence"

http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainm...r-house-201556

Jodie Sweetin says of the Olsen twins not participating in the Full House revival: "The Michelle character is still going to have a presence. It's not like we're not talking about her." She adds: "I love and support (Mary-Kate and Ashley), and I think we're going to be just fine."

OK so I wish them well but I have to say I don't really see the point in doing a reunion series, I might try to catch an episode here or there but that's it.

Number two, I'm so over Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen anyways. They obviously think they're so much better than everybody else, and they both look like a couple of sticks. They need to eat already. And wasn't one of them dating a man old enough to be her father? Gross.

Three, why on earth would they need both of the Olsen twins back for this series when they played ONE character as very young children, Michelle Tanner and she wasn't a twin! So really they'd only need Mary Kate or Ashley as an adult and not both of them. Asking both of them back makes absolutely no sense to me. Does anybody else agree with me? They needed twins to play Michelle on the original Full House because she was so young and because the way the child labor laws are either twin could only work a few hours a day and that's why they always have twins for playing very young children on TV shows.

Ed.
