Growing Pains Revival Series - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi everyone,

In light of the news earlier today of a possible "Full House" revival, I suggest another series be revived: "Growing Pains," with the modified title of "More Growing Pains."

In the revival, I'd have Alan Thicke and Joanna Kerns return as both Jason and Maggie Seaver, who in the revival are now retired, Jason from Psychiatry and Maggie from Congress; Jeremy Miller, as youngest son Ben, would be newly divorced after 10 years of marriage with a 7-year-old son named Christopher "Chris" Andrew Seaver (named in honor of little sis Chrissy, played in sporadic appearances by Ashley Johnson, with Chrissy studying to become a School Psychologist); Mike (Kirk Cameron), still married to Kate (Nancy Mueller), in a nod to Kirk's real life, quit acting and has spent the last 10 years as a Preacher with his own Ministry; Tracey Gold as eldest daughter Carol, meanwhile, has a 10-year-old son named Luke (named after Leonardo DiCaprio's character Luke Brower) and her own husband, Don Johnson (not to be confused with the actor from "Miami Vice," though the character would be named in Johnson's honor).

Together, like on the original series, the entire Seaver family is living together once again, joined on a frequent basis by retired Baseball idol Tom Seaver, playing himself as "Uncle Tom Seaver," joined by Tom's real-life wife Nancy and their 2 adult daughters, playing themselves as the Seaver cousins.

I don't think that it's worth the trouble having to deal w/ Kirk Cameron at this point. Kirk Cameron seems to be insistent on having to meld his personal life w/ his professional life. For example, in the first GP reunion movie, he had to have Mike be depicted has having adopted a bunch of kids, since Kirk Cameron did that in real life. And I found it hilarious that Ben in that movie was depicted (when we first saw him) as a loser, slacker, when quite frankly that should've been Mike (pre-"awakening" Kirk Cameron).
