Lena Dunham Finds "Scandal"

"Scandal" superfan Lena Dunham is teaming up with the Gladiators. The "Girls" creator/star will guest-star in a March episode of the ABC drama in a top-secret role.

Per EW.com, which first reported the news, Dunham’s character may have a connection to OPA.

Hannah Horvath is coming to "Scandal".

"Girls" star and self-professed Gladiator Lena Dunham will make her debut on the ABC political thriller's March 19 episode and The Hollywood Reporter has the exclusive first-look at her character.

The episode, titled 'It's Good to be Kink', will see Olivia (Kerry Washington) spring to action when she learns of a woman — judging from the photos below, played by Dunham — who plans to expose the sex secrets of some of D.C.'s most elite.

The guest role marks Dunham's latest tie-in to the world of "Scandal". The actress recently hired "Scandal" inspiration Judy Smith as strategic council.

"It was a slight, silly episode, and Dunham was properly slight and silly in it," says Kevin Fallon of the Girls star's unusual cameo last night, adding: "It was goofy and absurd in a way Shonda Rhimes shows have made just as much of their trademark over the years as their soapy twists and operatic romances and drama. Even the wig spoke to that. Dunham was given at least one really big scene, and she held her own with Kerry Washington in it." PLUS: Dunham played a less-grating version of Hannah Horvath, and Dunham posted behind-the-scenes pics.

I don't watch "Girls" but I thought Lena did a great job in the "Scandal" episode. It was one of the best I've seen in a while.

"I'm obsessed with Girls," says the Scandal star, who adds: "I was a fan of hers even before Girls. I did a movie way back called Party Girl, and in Lena's movie Tiny Furniture, she actually has a poster of Party Girl in one of the scenes. It was such a blast working with her. She's so smart and so funny."
