Boy, I really thought MTM was brilliant on last night's show,
Laura's Little Lie. It was just one of those shows that makes me this this was her best period as an actress. The running around acting like a nervous nut, the "Ed Rubin, Ed Rubin" bit, her holding back before finally telling Rob, jumping up and down at the kitchen table, stretching out "Marvin" like that were all funny and yet heartfelt. She was brilliant. |

I know! What a great performance! I just saw that episode too, and I loved it. It left me feeling really entertained.
Of course I absolutely love the show in every aspect, but Laura Petrie really helps make the show what it is. Kristen, I know what you mean about not having DVD on cable. I once went without it for about 3 years until my system subscribed to TV Land. What a famine that was! Congradulations on receiving it again. |

The reason I love the show so much is because of Mary Tyler Moore. She is a great actress, especially during this period of her life. Dick Van Dyke and the others are also good, but MTM is what makes it my favorite TV show.
My favorite show of hers is "My Part-Time Wife" when she goes to work for Rob. That scene in the bedroom at the end is wonderful, especially the lines, "Even a horse gets a lump of sugar" and "My chocolate joke was too funny". My other favorite performance of hers is in "Long Nights Journey Into Day". I laughed until my sides hurt during that one. Then my next favorite is "Laura's Little Lie". That bedroom scene at the end is just great.Christina |

MTM was fantastic in "My part time wife"
She looked fantastic, when she was poised with her fingers in typing position at the type writer ready to type the comedy scetch. You could just imagine her going to work in downtown NewYork in the early 60's. To me she had such a presence in the DVD show, which was not the same on her own show. She was still great mind you but different. Tonight (Saturday) is a great one for Mary as well, with the episode "How to spank a star" |

Samme & co.,
And, let us not forget two of her all-time greatests -- "The Curious Thing About Women" and "My Blonde-haired Brunette!" |
