Cool Emily Deschanel is Expecting her 2nd Child

Emily Deschanel is Expecting her Second Child
Dec 6, 2014
by Sadie Gennis

"Bones" star Emily Deschanel is pregnant, E! News reports.

This will be the second child for Deschanel, 38, and her husband, "It's Always Sunny" actor David Hornsby, 39. The couple tied the knot in September 2010, almost exactly one year before they welcomed their first son Henry.

It is unclear what impact, if any, Deschanel's pregnancy will have on the production of "Bones". Producers wrote Deschanel's first pregnancy into the show.

"Bones" star Emily Deschanel is pregnant with her second child in real life, and her character on the hit FOX procedural will likely be expecting too.

"They are going to write it in," Deschanel tells Zap2it on the red carpet at the "Bones" 200th episode party. "As far as I have heard, yes."

Executive producer Jonathan Collier confirms the news to Zap2it, but says the decision is not final. "There's a very good chance," he says at the party. "That's something we're still wrapping our heads around. My vote is yes, but there's other votes in there."

It would work for the show, Collier says, so it makes a lot of sense. "I feel like there's an awful lot of story to be gotten from it and it's also technically just harder to disguise a pregnancy. I think it really fits into some of our storylines so I think there's a very good chance."

Plus, as Deschanel points out, it'll be a lot less work. "I don't want to be worried about hiding a baby bump," she says.

Deschanel's costar TJ Thyne says the timing should work out so that Season 10 is wrapped by the time little baby Deschanel arrives. "It should time out brilliantly that we finish out the season and we will be able to roll out into season 11, if there is a season 11," he says.

The 200th episode of "Bones" features the Jeffersonian team reimagined as the cast in a Hitchcockian 1950s Technicolor movie.

"The 200th in the 10th" airs Thursday (Dec. 11) at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.

Default Emily Deschanel contrasts her 1st and 2nd Bones pregnancies

http://tvline.com/2015/03/23/bones-s...lem-season-11/

"It's not a safe world that they're bringing this child into," she says, "and she's very much aware of that this time, whereas last time she was a little naive about it."
