I wonder if anybody else noticed this in the Season 8 episode "Death Takes a Halloween"? Basically, Harry while speaking on the telephone, makes some offhand or throwaway joke about people jumping off the World Trade Center and miraculously surviving all of the time.

Oh, I remember that. For the longest time, for some reason I thought he said the Empire State Building. But then when I caught it again on DVD I realized it was the World Trade Center. Something like "So? People jump off the World Trade Center all the time" and then "... He lived?"
I know it was 11 years before 9/11 and no one would have really thought of it, but yeah, looking at it post-9/11... kinda makes you want to cringe a little. |

On occasion, a remark or event in a work of fiction will predict or foreshadow a similar event in real life . The TV Tropes website has several examples on their "Harsher in Hindsight" page, with examples from TV, movies, literature, music, comic books, and other media . There are also pages for "Hilarious in Hindsight" and "Heartwarming in Hindsight" .

I found another harsher in hindsight joke in Season 1's episode Death Threat.
There's this guy who claims he's God. And, he says he likes everyone except for John Denver. We all know what happened to John Denver back in 97. |

Wow that's strange. I believe that there's a Frasier episode where they mention the number of a flight coming into the Seattle airport. And then strangely one of the planes that was hijacked by the Muslim terrorists in the 9/11 attacks coincidentally had the same number. And then of course Frasier producer David Angell and his wife Lynn were ON one of the airplanes that was crashed into the World Trade Center and killed. But I don't remember if their airplane was the one with the flight number mentioned in the episode.
