Question Lost & Buried Sketch Comedy Programs

Eg. The Edge, Downer Channel, Hype, The Newz, Saturday Night Special, and The Sports Bar:

"Saturday Night Special" should remain lost and buried...

Saturday Night Special by the way, is best known for being produced by Roseanne as it fill-in for Mad TV's regular spot for a six week run back in say 1996.

It certainly won't be remembered for its humor.

And let us not forget "The Ben Stiller Show", which Fox gave up on WAY too soon. Jeannine Garofolo was also part of the cast.

And "The Tracey Ullman Show" , which won an Emmy shortly after Fox cancelled it in yet another brilliant move. (This show, of course, introduced us to "The Simpsons")

The Ben Stiller Show was way ahead of it's time. FOX didn't know what to do with it.

Do you think they were cancelled because they spent too much time making fun of other FOX shows? "90210" was one of their frequent targets.

Don't forget about Fridays. It was on ABC from 1980 to 1982. Michael Richards was a cast member. The show is probably best remembered for that infamous Andy Kaufman tantrum.

Default SNL should have gone off when Crystal left

breaking up on purpose is a in joke for the show and the crew. When my dad was breaking up on Carol Burnett it was because tim never told my dad what he was going to do.they did two shows a night. They could get one show in the can and then edit in the second show if certain parts of the second show was funnier then the dress. No offense but there is no one on the show now or for that matter ever as talented or as funnier then the Carol burnett show. Then again its pretty easy to act out of your mind when you are doing cocaine. The Belushi yrs was about drugs and drinking that isn't traiblazing a new comedy genre its making an ass out of yourself infront of millions of people and calling it fresh.Chase,Belushi,Akroyd dialects and sketch comedy versatility cannot even be compared to what korman, conway and lawrence, did.Sorry G.Radner fans but Vicki without drugs is still funnier then radner on it or not on drugs.Chase was as still the funnier out of all of them.Crystal and Murphy now those were the best yrs of the show.

Mr. Show With Bob (Odenkirk) And David (Cross) - the funniest sketch comedy since Monty Python. It ran on HBO from 1995-1998.

Default "She TV"

"She TV" was on only for a few weeks in the summer of 1994, and it had mostly female performers.... it also bashed males....For instance, there was a skit called "Mrs. Beavis and Mrs. Butthead" where the women performers were made up to look like Beavis and Butthead and they pretty much bashed Lifetime TV and videos that featured male singers (Michael Bolton, etc.). Sorry the show didn't last longer.

Anybody ever see Television Parts by Michael Nesmith? Hysterical I don't understand why people didn't watch it.
