Jan Hooks Remembered - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It's with great sadness I announce that less than 2 months after its original announcer, Don Pardo, died, the "Saturday Night Live" family has lost another member of its troupe: Jan Hooks, who died today in New York City, New York.

Born on April 23, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Jan spent 5 years on "Saturday Night Live" from 1986 - 1991 before leaving to succeed the departing Jean Smart and Delta Burke on the last 2 seasons of the hit '80s sitcom "Designing Women" until the series' 1993 cancellation.

The cause of death is yet to be determined.
