Default Why did FOX member Kevin Reilly get fired?

1.) He caused Glee actor Cory Montieth to get turned down badly with too many conflicts and then Cory ended up committing suicide.

2.) He turned down Glee actress Jayma Mays too in a hurry for no reason at all.

3.) He got rid of both Mindy Project romantic comedy actresses Anna Camp and Amanda Setton in a hurry, due to an unnecessary creative difference incident, and replaced them with this pure old comedy actress Beth Grant, who is not a romantic comedy actress at all.

4.) He removed Mindy Project romantic comedy actress Zoe Jarman from the Mindy project main cast, due to the unnecessary budget cut incident, but we want to make sure she stays in The Mindy Project as a reduced guest next season.

5.) He caused Glee's episode order for season 6 to get reduced from 22 to 13 and 13 is a wrong number. 12 should be good enough to finish.

6.) He caused The Mindy Project's episode order for season 3 to get reduced from 22 to 15 and 15 is a wrong number. 16 should be good enough to start and then return to 22 along the way.

Now since he is fired, there should be his new replacement and this is what the new replacement should do:

1.) Glee should have 12-episode order for its sixth and final season.

2.) This should be a good time for Glee actress Jayma Mays to return to Glee as a reduced guest in some season 6 episodes of Glee.

3.) The Rachel Berry character is traveling to Hollywood and this time, she should meet a new boyfriend with these requirements:

a.) broadway type of actor, who is experienced in both singing and actor.

b.) no rudeness nor meanness.

c.) no drug nor alcohol substance addictions.

d.) if you think Rachel has a hard time letting go of Finn, then this new boyfriend will mention that he used to have a high school girlfriend, who acted like Finn, that died after their own high school graduation and it is very hard for him to let go of her.

4.) somewhere on the second half of the season 6, some fisherman might accidentally spot a loaded gun in the middle of the lake and report it to the police.

5.) the police will go after Sue Sylvester and arrest her for the gun setup situation and then thrown in jail for life.

6.) Figgins will get his principal job back.

7.) McKinley High will keep their computer course rooms for the next several years, but another room will be built for a brand new glee club for the next generation.

8.) Marley rose character will be the only one returning.

9.) The Mindy Project should have a 16-episode order for its third season instead and then return to a full season order along the way.

10.) Mindy Project romantic comedy actress Zoe Jarman will be reduced as guest, but it will not be right for her to leave this show officially, otherwise the whole romantic comedy show will completely breakdown very badly.

11.) This should be a good time for a cranky old actor to get added into The Mindy Project season3 main cast to play a cranky old man doctor for these reasons:

a.) Increase more better criticism and viewership in order to last this show longer.

b.) Help actress Beth Grant and her Beverly character gain more relief on her own company level.

c.) Make all young adults both surrender to both cranky old people and show better respect.

d.) Along the way, both cranky old people will reduced their cranky reactions and then both will become romantic comedy types at the same time.

12.) Both romantic comedy actresses Anna Camp and Amanda Setton should return to The Mindy Project as reduced guests for season 3, even if Anna appears in Pitch Perfect 2 movie and Amanda appears as a recurring guest in Hawaii Five-0's fifth season.

13.) Later in the second half of The Mindy Project, the young erratic actress, get added in this show to play a young erratic woman nurse character as recurring guest.

14.) Then, Zoe, Anna and Amanda can return to The Mindy Project as member of the main cast of this show.

15.) Finally, that young erratic actress, who should be also a romantic comedy type, will be added in The Mindy Project main cast as a final member.

16.) But now, there is no doubt about moving Brooklyn Nine-Nine to Sunday nights is a problem, since it was considered a strongly independent show during its first season.

That's just my prediction, for season 3, no offense, IMO.

Actually it was Kevin Reilly himself who picked up two seasons and the same time of Glee, which turned out to be a huge mistake since the show became a non event and I believe it even failed to crack a 1.0 in adults 18-49 at some cases. The reduction happened after he was fired and that was a necessity as FOX would not tolerate a full season with ratings like that.

He made plenty of other mistakes and produced flops like the X-Factor and The Mob Doctor. But your post is more about the creative direction of Glee and The Mindy Project that have little to do with Kevin Reilly or his successor.

Most of the things you mention sound like decisions made by showrunners, not Kevin Reilly.

My post on more about the creative direction of Glee and The Mindy Project right now is a big one on both Kevin O'Reilly and his successor. The showrunners followed the wrong order of Kevin, please don't get me wrong about this.

The decisions are made by Kevin O'Reilly, who started it, and now the showrunners followed Kevin, which is not right.

That doesn't make any sense. The showrunner makes decisions, not the network President (unless they are heavily involved). Still, the writers don't develop characters enough, and sometimes they are dropped.

As for the people you mentioned from The Mindy Project, Camp asked to be taken off her contract (http://tvline.com/2012/11/20/the-min...amp-recurring/) and Setton was dumped for creative reasons (same link). Sometimes characters don't work.

Anyway, Kevin Reilly wasn't fired for the changes he made to these various series, its the fact they were picked up in the first place (and renewed).

The showrunners were badly ordered by Kevin and also the strict public release and this time, it is a big bad mistake that the showrunners made right now.

Anna Camp and Amanda Setton are both romantic comedy actresses, besides being businesswomen types, but they should have been reduced as guests instead. Beth Grant is a pure cranky old actress and she is NOT completely a romantic comedy type of actress! Beth replacing both Anna and Amanda was a terrible mistake because it will destroy most of the romantic comedy style in this show and the worst mistake right now is that romantic comedy actress Zoe Jarman is out of the Mindy Project main cast for season 3, which will completely destroy the entire romantic comedy style completely!

The TVline website link may have overcriticized on these three women and that is completely intolerable!

It's pretty simple, he turned FOX into a mess. He has a bunch of old shows declining in the ratings (American Idol, The Simpsons, Family Guy for example) and few if anything to replace them. He hasn't developed many hits; last season only "Sleepy Hollow" could be considered a hit for them.

Showrunners are most of the time independent on making decisions rather than completely independent.

But the worst lame thing is when showrunners get badly ordered by the network, especially by Kevin O'Reilly of FOX causing a general financial network collapsing incident. Then made it worse ordering all FOX showrunners to make forceful decisions in a bad direction, which is totally rejectable.

Default Ex-Fox exec who was fired after greenlighting Empire feels bittersweet

http://blogs.wsj.com/cmo/2015/03/20/...fox-executive/

Former Fox Entertainment chief Kevin Riley said "we had nothing to lose" when he picked up Empire last spring. Fox dumped Riley, who's also responsible for The Last Man on Earth, shortly after last year's upfronts following a string of disappointing seasons. While he wishes he had Empire "a year earlier," Riley — who is now president of TNT and TBS — says: "I'm happy for the creators and my staff who championed it."

Kevin did make some creative direction mistakes on glee and the Mindy Project, which not that little to do.

Reilly was the one who greenlighted Empire, so maybe his decisions weren't totally awful.

that was probably just a fluke - you can't get everything wrong.

I think the REAL reason he got fired is because he kept stealing people's lunches from the fridge in the lunchroom.
