Default Cable TV has blended into an indistinguishable swamp of reality TV

There’s not much difference these days between A&E and History.

I agree. All cable channels are now the exact same. There's nothing that separates them; it's all true/fake crime shows or reality shows.

That's why I don't watch many of them. If it wasn't for sports I wouldn't even have anything more than basic cable.

I think my husband and I watch about 2 hours of TV these days and they are classic shows, other than that we watch DVD's.

Back in the old days, USA Network or TBS would have a variety of programming. Now its all one thing. Either its all crime shows or comedy shows.

Yep. That was back in the good old days when we had the Superstations. They were really good back then, with a variety of good shows and movies. I hardly ever give any of them a glance now.

USA was where I got my first tastes of what PYL, $ale and Scrabble were like, among others. TBS also had Hawks hoops and Braves baseball in the 90s, too.

I know something about USA and TBS because pro wrestling used to be shown there. Big fan of pro wrestling and the WWE, then WWF, was on USA and NWA/WCW on TBS.

Since Dish took away TCM we have less to watch. TV offers little more than a bunch of crappy scripted reality shows now.
