This is new news? I haven't considered it a "family" channel in over 5 or so years now.

I think that it's widely known that Disney (the owners of ABC Family) can't simply change the name of ABC Family for legal reasons involving Pat Roberston.

I was hoping they were going to become the 90's kids grown up network.

It seems like network names don't mean anything anymore. I mean History channel is doing reality shows, Food Network is game shows, even Lifetime Movie Network is showing old A&E shows!

I'm sure they will just change the tagline and on air look. Level of quality of 'original' cable TV shows has been terrible for the past 7 years.

This really irks me. I LOVE the old made-for-TV-movies that aired in the 80s and 90s. I wish they'd air more of these instead of the real-life crime shows. If I want to watch real-life crime, I'll watch the ID network or my local news.

The only time I even watch that network is for Melissa & Joey and Baby Daddy.

Maybe this network needs accept rebooted former WB comedies, like Popular, Maybe It's Me, Do Over, Greetings From Tucson and Run Of The House for example.

Maybe once Robertson croaks...they can change the title, but he's a Simpson (This refers to "The Simpsons" since they'll never die...Pat Robertson is STILL here).
