Frasier Finale 10th Anniversary: The Cast Then and Now

Posted: May 13, 2014 9:50 am Updated: 6:15 pm, May 13, 2014.
Lindsay Lowe

Kelsey Grammer
Between Cheers and Frasier, Grammer played the character of Dr. Frasier Crane for 20 consecutive years, one of the longest runs in TV history. A year after Frasier ended, Grammer appeared in a handful of short-lived TV series, including the Fox shows The Sketch Show and Back to You, and ABC’s Hank. He found more success starring in his first dramatic TV series, the Starz drama Boss, for which he won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series Drama. Grammer and his wife Kayte Walsh recently welcomed a daughter, the actor’s fifth child.

David Hyde Pierce
Pierce won four Emmys for his role as Niles Crane, Frasier’s fussy psychiatrist brother. After Frasier ended, he found success on Broadway, appearing alongside Tim Curry in the stage production of Spamalot. In 2007, he won a Tony Award for his performance in the Broadway musical Curtains. Pierce came out publicly in 2007, and married his long-time partner Brian Hargrove the following year.

John Mahoney
Mahoney endeared himself to fans as Martin Crane, Frasier’s curmudgeonly live-in dad. Post-Frasier, he’s starred in various plays, TV shows, and films, including the 2007 romantic comedy Dan in Real Life, in which he co-starred as Steve Carrell’s father, and the TV shows Burn Notice, In Treatment, and **** My Dad Says. He also made two guest appearances on Hot in Cleveland, reuniting him with Frasier costars Jane Leeves (Daphne) and Wendie Malick, whose character he married in the last season. Along with David Hyde Pierce, Mahoney is godfather to Jane Leeves’s son, Finn.

Peri Gilpin
Along with her Frasier costars, Gilpin, who played Frasier’s worldly, straight-talking producer, won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 1999. After Frasier ended, she and costar Jane Leeves started a production company, Bristol Cities, and she’s also appeared in TV shows including Medium, Desperate Housewives, and Make It or Break It. She also starred alongside Cheers leading man Ted Danson in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Jane Leeves
Leeves was nominated for multiple Emmy Awards for her role as Daphne Moon, Martin’s kooky live-in physical therapist. Niles’s secret infatuation with Daphne fueled much of the comedy during the first seven seasons. Since Frasier, Leeves appeared in various TV shows, and found her biggest success starring in TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland.

Bebe Neuwirth
Bebe Neuwirth played Frasier Crane’s notoriously uptight wife Lilith on Cheers, and made several guest appearances as Lilith on Frasier. Neuwirth is also an accomplished singer and dancer, and she won Tony awards for her portrayal of Velma Kelly in the revival of Chicago and for her performance as Morticia Addams in The Addams Family musical.

Eddie
The Jack Russell terrier from Frasier understands more words than most dogs, and he knows how to manipulate the humans around him to get what he wants (mainly via strategic staring contests). Eddie was played by two dogs over the years: First Moose, and later his son, Enzo. Moose died in 2006 at age 16, and Enzo passed away in 2010.

Goodnight, Seattle
A scene from the final episode from Frasier, when he says goodbye to his loyal listeners.

Default “Frasier” ended its 11-year run 10 years ago tonight

http://www.salon.com/2014/05/13/the_...rnet_nostalgia

Why is the 10th anniversary of the end of “Frasier” receiving less attention than the 10th anniversary of the end of “Friends”?

Missed what? Was there a special on or something? But I do appreciate the links! Here I was thinking that it had only been seven years! I must be stuck in 2011! Hard to believe it's been ten years... and even harder to believe that it's been 21 years since it first aired!

Nope, I just missed the exact day and find out 2 days later.
Even if there was some special on tv I would have missed in any case, since I don't live in US
