ABC has renewed "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." for the 2014-15 season (Season 2).

For most of the season, “S.H.I.E.L.D.” didn’t know what it wanted to be. But the release of "Captain America: The Winter Solider” forced the show to reboot itself, which it did, resulting in a compelling season finale. PLUS: “S.H.I.E.L.D.” needs to figure out how to make the standalone episodes exciting.
