Naya Rivera Reportedly Cut from "Glee" Finale; Rep Denies Actress Was Fired after Clash with Co-Star
by Andy Swift and Matt Webb Mitovich
4/29/14

Naya Rivera will no longer be a part of "Glee‘s" Season 5 finale, and her future with the Fox series at large is in flux, according to multiple reports.

New York’s Daily News on Tuesday reported that Rivera had been fired from the series after she “went off” on producers about her multiple grievances, including co-star Lea Michele.

E! Online echoes a report by PopWrapped, that Rivera has been written out from the Season 5 finale entirely.

Rivera’s rep denies she was let go from the series, saying in a statement, “Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story.

Despite all these rumblings, both actresses are maintaining their cool on Twitter: Rivera is urging her fans to watch the show, while Michele has been sharing anecdotes from the set of the season finale, which airs May 13.

If they axe Santana, then I'll be glad she's in the tombstone. She is getting more offensive too often.

20th Century Fox: Naya Rivera Not Fired from "Glee"
May 3, 2014
by Sadie Gennis

20th Century Fox is finally setting the record straight about Naya Rivera's alleged firing from "Glee".

"There is no truth to the rumor Naya has been fired from the show. She remains under contract to Glee," the studio that produces the Fox musical drama said in a statement.

It was also reported that Rivera was dropped from Columbia Records, which a rep for the actress adamantly denied.

"Someone obviously has an agenda to damage Naya's good name and the media are failing at their duty to responsibly vet their sources and verify what is true and what is not. Naya's attorneys are prepared to take any and all legal action to enforce and protect her rights," the rep said in a statement.

Reports about Rivera allegedly being fired from the series and written out in the finale began swirling after a report suggested the actress and "Glee" star Lea Michele had an altercation on the set.

It remains unclear based on 20th Century Fox's statement, however, if Rivera will appear in this season's final two episodes.

Default “Glee” had a ridiculous explanation for Naya Rivera’s absence from the season finale

http://www.eonline.com/news/541677/h...wer-of-course?

"Oh she's shooting a Yeast-I-Stat commercial in Iowa for a week,” explained Mercedes. PLUS: Finale set up the Season 6 time jump, and is the Rivera-Lea Michele drama mirrored on the show?

Without Santana Lopez, “Glee” is just a parody of itself, with a cast full of one-dimensional characters.

Lea Michele Addresses "Glee" Drama on "Letterman" -- VIDEO
by Pamela Gocobachi
May 16, 2014

During Friday’s "Late Show with David Letterman" taping, "Glee" star Lea Michele got a little flustered when Letterman asked the actress to address certain rumors regarding her “knocking out a co-star.

Dave was referencing reports that Naya Rivera had been pushed out of the Fox musical comedy because of drama with Michele.

After getting her to confess that she did, in fact, know what he was talking about, Letterman told Michele that he had completely made up the rumor in order to see what she would say — watch the video below:

To her credit, Michele laughed the whole thing off and told the late-night talk show host that if there were ever a catfight on set, it wouldn’t be a secret.

You’d know, because I’d get a ring and I’d put Jell-O in it and I would make it, like, fun for everyone, and it would be super hot!” Michele joked.
