Congratulations to Stephen Colbert and his taking over the Letterman show.
I didn't think they would do it, but he brings a marked change (and bettering of the late night hosts... an adult interviewer against the childlike Fallon(who's major failing is he can't interview anyone). |

by the way
nikki finke was 100% spot on... she predicted this from day one in fact, nikki said Steve was the one and only choice from the start the rightwing is going to have a fit I can see Rush's head exploding over this and Colbert continues the dominance of the Second City group another member gone far |

Can't stand Colbert so I'll have to find something else to watch.

Why not replace “The Colbert Report” with a 1-hour “Daily Show,” one that doesn’t require you to go online to watch the full interviews. Read more at http://www.hitfix.com/tv-tattle#yDgmAGALrXkSQA04.99 |

Being “multi-talented” is “suddenly a requirement for hosting a late-night show — a trend driven mainly by Jimmy Fallon,” says Adam Buckman. "Colbert might not possess Fallon’s talent for mimicry and celebrity impressions, but Colbert is an accomplished professional in all the other aspects of show business — particularly singing, dancing and acting. He’s a shrewd showman who writes best-selling books, created a highly profitable show ('The Colbert Report') built around a fictional character he developed and plays personally, and seems to create excitement and draw crowds wherever he goes." It will be interesting to see what the "real" Colbert is like, since Les Moonves said the character he plays on "the Colberty Report" will NOT be on CBS late night. So, who IS the real Colbert and can he compete with Fallon & Kimmel? Colbert reminds me of my high school principal...and he was a jerk!
![]() I predicted over a year ago that Letterman would be leaving soon after Leno departed. |
