Default What the Hell Happened to Jean-Claude Van Damme?

http://lebeauleblog.com/2014/01/12/w...ude-van-damme/

Quote:
In the late 80s and early 90s, Jean-Claude Van Damme was part of a wave of martial artists turned movie stars. Movies like Van Damme’s break-out role, Bloodsport, were cheap, easy to make and usually provided a great return on investment. Van Damme in particular seemed poised to break out of low budget movies into legitimate movie stardom. But instead, the action movie craze subsided and Van Damme was cast aside along with the other action heroes of the time.

What the hell happened?

Like most action stars, they fade off into the wind, never to be herd of again.

Guys like Schwarzenegger and Stallone already had a claim on the action movie market and action movies aren't a small niche as martial arts films are and besides Arnold and Sly have easily broken into other genres like comedy with Arnold having more success than Sly of course.

But guys like Van Damme and Steven Seagal especially have limited range not only acting wise but personalities that they come off as stiff mummies on screen and audiences' taste in movies and celebrities change every decade or so.

I mean even tough guy Chuck Norris' movie appeal was dwindling down that he had to resort to doing TV like Texas ranger.

Please, Care & Share!

February 21, 2014 at 7:05am

Hello, World!

As I believe that a lot of my fans around the world care for animals as my family and I do; I would like to take the opportunity and ask each one of you to do a noble and heroic act no less than what action heroes do in movies!

I think that after each meal we have, there should be some food remaining in our dishes. So, I was thinking why don't we start putting the remaining food in some baskets and while being outdoor, we'll definitely meet a starving street dog or street cat.

If we can bring those innocent creatures home to adopt them, it would be amazing to save a life and take care of it, but in case we can't, then, we may offer them what's inside those baskets from our meal remains.

It doesn't matter how big or small your help is, as much as it does matter that you are actually helping out and doing something to be proud of.

Unlike humans, animals cannot talk and beg for food or help...So, when you offer homeless animals some food, I would like to ask you to look into their eyes –a "thank you" message will be received. By doing this, we the humans, shall learn a new language... the language of feeling and understanding through our eyes.

Imagine how sensitive and smart you could become when you are able to use your eyes to communicate with other creatures who have souls and feelings just like all of us.

My family & I are already doing this and sharing what we have from extra food with the poor animals we may find on the streets during our destination anywhere. Who's going to join us?

Thank you,

Jean-Claude Van Damme #JCVD

Didn't Van Damme's character die in Expendables 2?

That. Is. HILARIOUS!

How many times has that guy had a clone or a twin brother in movies? It's obvious. They'll just bring in the clone.
