CBS wins Thursday night NFL games -- what will happen to "The Big Bang Theory"?

CBS will disrupt its fall lineup by airing eight NFL games on Thursday nights, starting this fall. No word yet on how this will affect CBS' Thursday shows. Since CBS did win the one-year Thursday Night NFL package, this means that either The Big Bang Theory has to move back to Mondays, or its season premiere would be delayed to November. Personally, I doubt that BBT would air original episodes on Mondays, because that would conflict with WWE Monday Night Raw and I like to watch both of those programs live. Also, if TBBT's season premiere Is delayed to November, then will its high viewership and momentum be damaged?
It should be noted that the NFL Thursday Night Package is only for the 2014 season, with an option to extend it to the 2015 season. |
