Question Favorite Boy Meets World continuity error

http://officialfan.proboards.com/thr...ntinuity-error

Quote:
*I for one never tire of rewatching the show only to discover another way Cory and Topanga met and fell in love.

*Morgan disappearing for forever and coming back as another actress is also pretty funny.

*Topanga having at least three completely different dads.

*3 Dads, 2 Moms and 1 disappearing sister. Funny that the actress playing her sister, Nebula, came back the next season as a separate love interest, an Ice Skater, for Eric. They should have kept the continuity and had her become a world famous ice skater who leaves Philadelphia forever.

*Don't forget Shawn's sister and other step brother. Chet Hunter got around.

*Minkus vanishing for several seasons because he was in "that part" of the school.

*Eric driving Topanga's parents car in the intro.
Quote:
I have said before, seasons 1-3 and 5-7 should be considered two different shows. Season 4 was like a hybrid of the two, where the writers were slowly starting the "Cory and Topanga were dating since they were in the womb" phase of the show that was never mentioned in the first three seasons.

I love all the seasons but I've always favored seasons 1-4 more (season 3 is my favorite). Seasons 5-7 went into the twilight zone.

Topanga failed in the episode entitled The Eskimo. Yet she still had a better grade point average than Minkus. My question... What did Minkus fail? LOL

Where did Minkus and Mr. Turner go? They disappeared and btw, Shawn had a sister that he mentioned in one of the earlier episodes but I think that was it.

With Shawn's family, it seems possible he may have meant a half-sister. (But more than likely, it's a continuity error- something that a writer mentioned early on in an episode that was just forgotten and/or ignored later on.)
As to Mr. Turner and Minkus, that was actually addressed in the episode where Cory, Shawn and Topanga graduated from high school. Lee Norris showed up to reprise his role as Minkus in that episode and he explained that the reason Cory and Shawn hadn't seen him around during all of their high school years is because he mainly hung out "over there" (and here he pointed to an offstage area)- to which Cory and Shawn reply, "Oh. We don't go over there." And to further the 4th. wall-breaking joke, Minkus calls out, "Hey, Mr. Turner- wait up!" (or something to that effect). So, evidently, the explanation is that both Minkus and Mr. Turner have been around- it's just that Cory and the rest of his close friends and family never had classes with either of them again and were physically in different parts of the school building.

Much agreed. I know that there is a difference and continuity lacking but I still enjoy all the season for different reasons.

I recently posted elsewhere, an article that suggests that the "No Guts, No Cory" episode from Season 5 was the "jump the shark" moment (or the point in which things slowly started to unravel so to speak):
