Question Everybody loves Raymond Boned the Fish When...

http://www.bonethefish.com/viewtopics.php?198#

Quote:
Everybody Loves Raymond is an Emmy Award-winning American television sitcom that originally ran on CBS from September 13, 1996 to May 16, 2005. Many of the situations from the show are based on the real-life experiences of lead actor Ray Romano, producer Phil Rosenthal and the show's writing staff. The main characters on the show are also loosely based on Romano's real-life family members.

I enjoyed the entire series. In fact, I think it got better over time. Some of the first season episodes were a little bland. I loved the last couple of seasons when Robert got back together with Amy, and when Amy's family was around.

I haven't seen every episode, but I have seen enough of them to think that it never took a nose dive. To me, everything that made the show what it is was still there in its final season.

God bless you always!!!

This show boned when they accept Fred Willard as the wrong actor choice to play Amy's father in a hurry.

Never boned at all.

A few clunkers in there that were pretty bad, but overall a damn fine show.

Also, the only other sitcom besides "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" to ends it run with an Emmy for best series.

The last of the great sitcoms...

I don't think it ever boned either but just like any show, there are a few episodes that I didn't care for and therefore I don't watch those episodes.

I thought it was among the worst of the show.

Seriously, Georgia Engle was fantastic on the show, Raymond never jumped the shark in my opinion and it's last few season's were among it's best, unlike Frasier which dropped like a rock.

And you are right about the Emmy, I stand corrected.

Default Sunday Best: Sitcoms of All Time # 11 - Everybody Loves Raymond

JUMP THE SHARK

NA

This is one of those rare shows that did not begin to fail in quality. Looking back, the shows actually got better and better. By the 9th season, the show was as strong as ever and could have gone on longer. There was still so much comedy to mine as the children got older as well as the rest of the cast. It was at the top of CBS' ratings, but it was decided that they wanted to go out before they jumped the shark.
