"The Breakfast Bunch" was arguably the start of Victorious' long, painful slide into television oblivion. At that point in the series, people wanted character and story development. With only thirteen half-hours in the season (Season 1 had 18 episodes, Season 3 had only 12, and as it turned out, Season 3 also had only 12 episodes as well), many viewers felt that the writers / producers could have made better use of these episodes by writing new stories about the Victorious characters; instead we got the Victorious actors playing parodies of other characters. By the time Season 4 rolled around, much of the audience had grown disenchanted, as they realized that things were never going to advance.
