It never really "boned" but I didn't like that they left Brendan in the dust and I hate when they age babies WAY too quickly like they did with Lily. Really, this show should have ended with the birth of Lily.

Didn't Urkel appear in the first season? That seems way too soon.

Also, like Family Matters, the final season was a step down from what came before. It wasn't nearly as awful as Family Matters' last season but it clearly wasn't that good. I also didn't care for Jean-Luc.

I liked every season. I seem to be one of the few people who likes Lilly, but I wasn't a fan of Jean-Luc.

I seem to remember that the end of Family Matters (during the initial TGIF broadcast) very seamlessly went into the beginning of said Step by Step episode w/ Urkel on his jet pack.

Jean-Luc always struck me as Cody's replacement as the resident "wacky/eccentric" character that was seemingly a trademark for Miller-Boyett's shows.

Even though I still loved the show after Cody disappeared, it was most definitely not the same without him. Brendan disappearing next and Lily being aged did not help either even though the little girl that played her was cute.

God bless you and her always!!!

7th season for me. There wasn't enough of Mark.

He was freaking hilarious when he became a teenager. He was constantly dating the wrong type of girl and getting into trouble. They could have done more with him in season 7. But, they didn't. And, that sucked.

Plus, Castille was the only one of the younger part of the cast that was ever in a movie during the show's run (Beethoven). So, come on.

IMO. The Mark getting horny thing was hilarious in my opinion. He was the worst out of all the kids with that. Major horndog. The "Naughty Nurses" episode had me LMAO.

It jumped the shark when they fired Brendan. I hate it when shows get rid of people (especially family members) without explanation.

In "Bonjour, Jean-Luc" when Frank is on the phone with him he mentions his new job in Russia. But when he returns in the series penultimate episode he says he was going around the U.S. in search of the perfect burger.
