In a word...EPIC! While this finale was not quite as tense or action packed as I had maybe hoped (think Season 4 finale), it resolved everything in a more than satisfactory way and gave all of the characters the endings they deserved, IMO. I particularly liked that Todd survived long enough to meet his demise at Jesse's hands and that Jesse was able to get away in the end. I've been thinking to myself for awhile that Jesse deserves to finally be able to catch a break and escape from Walt's influence. I was also glad that Walter was finally able to let go of his family and admit the selfishness of his actions. It brought about a catharsis for the character while still punishing him for driving away the people who loved him.

I was a little sad that Marie didn't get any comeuppance for being such a miserable witch, but I recognize that is solely my personal feelings and that the character didn't deserve anything like that.

Thumbs up

I loved it. I think Vince Gilligan did right by his viewers. He gave closure to every character. Walt said good-bye to his wife and Holly. Such a sad scene, especially in the baby's room. He knew he would never see her again.

Jesse had the satisfaction of killing Todd with his bare hands. Aaron Paul said on Talking Bad that he was grateful to Vince for writing that scene, as opposed to just having Jesse shoot Todd. I thought it was a very sad show. Despite everything Walt did, I still felt sad. I don't think Marie deserved any comeuppance. She was a high strung woman, but she loved her family. Besides, she lost her husband. It's harder to think of a worse loss than that.

Kudos to the Breaking Bad family, cast and crew and everyone in between. I didn't see it, but my husband hated the Lost finale. And after watching the disgrace of a series finale of Dexter last week, and remembering The Sopranos, "do-it-yourself, fill-in-the-blanks" finale, I'm grateful to Vince Gilligan for respecting his audience and rewarding his viewers with the answers and closure we desired.

Well done.

I thought it was great and this is coming from someone who's only watched a handful of shows. I thought they wrapped everything up nicely but still left a few things open (a fan fic writer's dream!). The cast was great and I'm sure it was hard to leave the show but I'm sure they'll all go on to bigger things now.

Default Britney Spears on "Breaking Bad" finale: "I didn't like it at all"

http://www.eonline.com/news/467599/b...itter-exchange

Britney -- who has traded tweets with Aaron Paul -- found the series finale "really sad," adding: "I didn't think he should have died…maybe they'll do another episode where the ambulance comes and revives him."

I really enjoyed it as well, I really followed two shows that were ending this summer, Breaking Bad and Dexter, and i feel that the Breaking Bad finale won. It tied up lose ends well where as Dexter ended like it was any season finale, not the epic series finale.

I had also been debating for many episodes with my husband how it would end and we had narrowed it down to Walt dying or getting caught and were both pleasantly surprised that we kind of got both

"I happen to not watch the series very much, but I happened to tune in and I saw the most ridiculous 15 minutes of a movie – it would be laughed off the screen," he said, referring to the shooting scene.
