Default 4 Canceled TV Series With Decent Finales

http://whatculture.com/tv/4-canceled...nt-finales.php

Quote:
I watch a lot of television, and unfortunately, a lot of that is television that gets canceled far too early. Now, there’s a few shows that should be on this list such as Ugly Betty, Arrested Development, Home Movies or Pushing Daisies but because they knew they were getting canceled and were able to wrap up their series (or in the case of AD even COME BACK and make more) they aren’t in this article. This is about series that were canceled, but had a finale that is actually decent enough to be a good, abrupt series finale. Let’s start.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

There was once a sitcom, I think in the 80's or 90's where they were actually taping, and somebody asked another why they're not doing something, and his response was, "because were cancelled". And that was the end!

Anybody recall this? I don't know what show it was.

I believe that series was "I Married Dora" in 1987 on ABC.

Thankyou!

This is how it ended:

Scene at the airport

Dora: What's wrong, Peter?
Peter: It's been cancelled!
Dora: The flight?
Peter: No. Our Series!

Now that's one way to wrap up a series.

It was quite quick and clever with what they did with Pushing Daisies. The original edit of that finale was to end with Chuck showing up her aunts door, but following the news of the cancellation, Bryan Fuller managed to have some money left over in the show's budget to compose of a voice over to tell us what the characters would go on to do. So could of been a crappy cliffhanger, turned into a reasonable open ended finale.

I remember that Dora ending. Just looked up the show; I thought it ran at least one whole season (wrong).
