Default Both New Class Producers and Writers are bad?

Does anybody think that the New Class Producers and Writers went bad getting 1) the wrong actors and wrong actresses and 2) messing up the lines carelessly?

One good thing is that it was correct to bring back the Screech character, not only to bring back some old fans, but Screech needs his teen popularity completed and gain more respect with the new class students.

The new class actors and new class actresses were wrongly turned down improperly, even Dennis Haskins had a same problem.

I understand that the Screech character became too annoying. He was supposedly to be loosely entertaining, but he is not supposed to be that strong!

Of course, the last two seasons of the New Class (six and seven) went completely deteriorating and the series finale had a big problem. Screech's future did not get mentioned at all and it is wrong to not mention Screech's future!

The producers and writers of the New Class should have gotten penalized for screwing up both the lines and the whole show!

The ever revolving cast was most certainly a major problem regarding The New Class. It was extremely hard to latch onto the characters (and for them to create and grow a proper rapport and chemistry together) when they kept changing every few seasons. What didn't help was bringing Screech back (I guess, initially it made sense in order to draw in old fans) and pretty much Flanderize him severely (it was as if Dustin Diamond was playing Screech like a total cariacture in his older years). They also ruined Mr. Belding's character (who was always a dorky but otherwise reasonable authority figure) by placing him in this painful "Laurel & Hardy" type of side-antics w/ Screech.

I think another problem w/ The New Class is that it didn't have the goofy cheesiness/live-action cartoon qualities of the earlier SBTB (which in a wierd way, worked as it best reflected it's time period of the late '80s). Everything on The New Class, felt stale (apparently, they were usually rehasing old storylines) and boring from the writing to the direction. What didn't help was that around this time, the FCC was imposing tighter restrictions (e.g. the 1996 Telecommunications Act w/ gave birth to the E/I mandate) on Saturday morning broadcast programming, which lead to their having to be a heavy-handed moral to the story (which were just about as subtle as a jackhammer) being shoehorned into NBC's TNBC line-up.

You got that right and also, IMO not only did The New Class killed Saved by the Bell, but it also ran its course and they have worn out their welcome

While other shows like California Dreams and City Guys ran its course, @ least they ended on a high note even though California Dreams changed characters during the 1st 2 seasons

However, Saved by the Bell: The New Class and Hang Time changed characters so much just like they did Law & Order, people were probably scratchin' their heads like what happend to the characters

While some of them got mentioned and others acted like they've never heard of them

When you ask people about Saved by the Bell, majority of them will tell ya, that they have either never heard of The New Class or The New Class is STUPID

Wait a minute, are all the new class students considered poor helpless people and Bayside is considered a strict co-ed public high school?

Anything strict cannot tolerate poor helpless people at all?

Dustin Diamond and his Screech role needed more teen popularity with better respect with the new class students, but the New Class should never have been messed up at all.

As a matter fact, the original should have started off in all normalities. If the original worked out right, then they can make a spinoff on a new class. That would a good time to include two nerds (a boy and a girl) into that new class better.

Putting the Screech role into that strict original class was dangerous.

Hang Time's cast changes is not that bad because:

1.) The whole cast is even-numbered.

2.) The cast changes are also even-numbered.

3.) They never changed both the main important character and the funniest supporting character, which is good enough.

Hang Time is true in real life, even if it is obscene with a little too much compression, but it is good enough to be put into complete DVD box set including closed captions.

City Guys need a cast change by adding Alex Morris in its fifth season to play the new husband of Principal Karen Noble. Right now that show is never put back into air nor put into DVD at all.

Yeah the producers did not make the effort to find the right people to be on the New Class, the actors were phony big time.

It has been revealed that The New Class has problems that they don't want to get excluded from each other too quick.

Yeah, Screech's comeback was important, not only to bring back some old fans, but more likely to complete his teen popularity and gain better respect with the new class students.

The original class was made too difficult for Screech to be involved.

To answer the original question, no. I think the writers and producers of "Saved By The Bell: The New Class" did a great job. Sure, it had some bumps along the way- but so does most every TV show. Overall, I enjoyed all the episodes. I like watching it as much as the original series- of course, I like watching all of "Saved By The Bell", no matter which version.

The New Class should have Mr. Belding transferred in the middle of the series and Screech succeeding him automatically. The new Class series should have ended when Screech officially leaves Bayside and transfers to a new working place and Belding returns to Bayside to get his principal job back.

Welcome to Saved by the Bell: The New Class, aka Saved by the Bell: The Clone Wars, where we will see everything that happened in the original Saved by the Bell repeated with new actors playing characters exactly like their original counterparts because at this point the writers realized they could fill a script with the word “watermelon” over and over and people would still watch. I was so tempted for this entire stupid season to just refer to these characters as they truly are: New-Zack, New-Slater, New-Screech, New-Kelly, New-Lisa, and New-Jessie. However, that requires too much energy and this series is not worth it.

"Watermelon"?

The New Class first season was supposed to be imitators of the original class, but they just want to get along with each other in respectable chemistry rather than excluding each other too much.

It was a good idea to bring Screech back, not only to bring back old fans, but Screech needed completely teen popularity from the normal students of the new class, showing him both better respect and no difficulty at the same time.
