TV "True Blood" Cast Reveal 14 Spoilers from Season 6

Billith, Babies and Blood! 14 "True Blood" Spoilers From Season 6
Jun 14, 2013
by Natalie Abrams

Billith has risen!

"True Blood" returns for its sixth season Sunday (9/8c, HBO), picking up just moments after Bill (Stephen Moyer) drank the blood of original vampire Lilith (Jessica Clark), exploded and then resurrected from a pool of blood. Totally normal, right?

But Billith will be the least of everyone's worries this season as Louisiana declares war on vampires. Not to mention, the mysterious Warlow is also coming after Sookie (Anna Paquin).

With so much in store, TVGuide.com caught up with the cast of HBO's hit series to get the low down:

1. Who or What is Billith?

After rising from that pool of blood, Bill appeared to be a feral vampire ready to attack anyone. "He doesn't know what he is," Moyer explains. "He might be able to do anything and that might be the problem."

Viewers were certainly left with several questions at the end of last season, and Clark herself has been wondering. "Has Lilith been subsumed into him? Is she still a separate entity? Is he a god? I think he's more of a prophet than a god, but I definitely think her essence or power has been absorbed by him," she says.

But Bill's changes will put a lot of pressure on his loved ones, especially Sookie and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard). "He's obviously a problem because he's red, naked and limitlessly powerful, potentially," Paquin says.

Skarsgard adds: "The question is: Is this still Bill? And what will this do to the friendship they had in Season 5?"

2. War on Vampires:

Thanks to the Tru Blood factory bombings and the Vampire Authority's new stance on humans, Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell (Arliss Howard) will declare a war on vamps that could ultimately cost more lives on both sides.

"The humans are fighting back," Skarsgard says. "The Governor of Louisiana has figured out a way to hurt, capture and kill vampires. Humans, for the first time, are more than just blood bags."

Among the ways humans will hurt the vamps are using new weapons on them — poor Tara (Rutina Wesley)! — and shutting down their businesses. "It gets kind of crazy and we have nowhere to go," Wesley says. "It's going to be intense. There's a curfew that we can't be out at night."

3. Sookie's on Her Own:

Once again, Sookie finds herself swearing off men, but it won't be long before a new guy crosses her path in Rob Kazinsky's Ben, a fellow faerie.

"There's a little action" Paquin teases, but adds that things may not be over for one of the hottest love triangle on TV with Bill and Eric. "I don't think anything is totally over ever on True Blood. People die, people come back, people break up, get back together."

Speaking of, Eric's sister Nora (Lucy Griffiths) will have quite a strong opinion of Sookie that could be jealousy. "She wonders who this person is that is very significant to him because she's never heard of their relationship," Griffiths says.

4. Will Eric Find Love Elsewhere?

Angry with humans, Eric will go straight to the source to try to get revenge after war is declared. "Eric goes undercover at one point, which was a lot of fun to shoot," Skarsgard says.

When Eric comes face-to-face with Truman, he'll also meet his daughter Willa (Amelia Rose Blaire). "We don't necessarily see eye-to-eye on his anti-vampire views," Blaire says and adds that she'll have a "sticky" relationship with Eric because of that.

5. Jessica's Maker Issues:

With Bill turning into some sort of feral vampire, at least at first, Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) will have trouble accepting what's going on with her maker.

"This is really confusing for her," Woll says. "This is someone who is the last person on earth that she has a connection to and you can't just give that up, so she's really hoping for the best out of it all."

But their relationship will certainly change this season.

"Jessica's always really needed Bill to guide her, and I think this is one of the first times where Bill is in a little over his head and maybe he needs a little help from her to stay grounded," she adds.

Woll also notes that things may not be completely over between Jessica and Jason (Ryan Kwanten).

6. Big Bad Warlow:

Briefly introduced last season, we will finally meet Warlow in the flesh this year. "He's killed Sookie's parents, and she's not thrilled about that and she has some unfinished business," Paquin teases.

Kwanten calls the hunt for Warlow "an epic journey." "There's a huge burden on him and a weight that has to be lifted before he can carry on and be functional, so he makes it his vendetta to get that guy."

Lest we forget, Nora recognized the name Warlow in the season finale, which will be quickly explored when the show returns.

"It's quite desperate and it doesn't end that well," Griffiths says of the hunt for Warlow. "He's quite a force to be reckoned with and he's not particularly friendly."

7. New Allies:

A relative from Jason and Sookie's past may be the key to unlocking the mystery of Warlow.

"He's trying to get closer to Sookie because there's something very important that he needs to explain to her if she's willing to listen," says Rutger Hauer.

8. Vampires Have Feelings, Too:

Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Tara shared one heck of a kiss in the season finale, but don't expect them to sit down and discuss their feelings anytime soon since that comes secondary to the war.

Still, both Wesley and Bauer van Straten agree that the pair has a special bond. "This is going to be an interesting complex unraveling of this relationship over the season," says Bauer van Straten, who believes Pam does truly have feelings for Tara, even if she doesn't show it.

"Up until that kiss, all we knew about Pam was she only needed one person and that was Eric. But she does have a sensitive side for Eric, so it's possible."

9. Family Ties:

Eric has been keeping a big secret from Pam in the form of Nora, his vampire sister, but with everyone needing to band together this season, it won't be long before Pam discovers the truth.

"I think Pam is quite wary of her," Griffiths says before Bauer van Straten adds, "I don't think Pam likes to share."

Girl fight, anyone?

10. The Pack:

Vampires aren't the only ones in trouble, with new packmaster Alcide (Joe Manganiello) expecting that werewolves will be targeted next. But he'll also be dealing with the new perks of being in charge as Danielle (Jamie Grey Hyder), J.D.'s former lover, sets her sights on power.

"She and Rikki [Kelly Overton] are going to butt heads a little bit," Hyder says.

Look for Rikki to really take a prominent role this season as the war spins out of control.

"It's war time and somebody's got to step up and protect the pack," Overton says. "Even if it seems like she's doing something at someone's expense, she's not afraid to do what she needs to do if the ultimate goal is to protect the pack."

11. All Supes are in Trouble:

It's not just vampires and werewolves who are in danger. After Luna (Janina Gavankar) shifted on live television in the finale — you'll quickly find out her fate in the premiere — Sam (Sam Trammell) will be trying to keep his ragtag family safe.

"There's a big bombshell in the first episode with my character that affects the trajectory of the whole season," Trammell says.

Sam may also find help in supes activist Nicole (Jurnee Smollett-Bell).

12. New Bundles of Joy:

Andy (Chris Bauer) shockingly welcomed four new children last season after his faerie baby mama Maurella (Kristina Anapau) gave birth and then disappeared.

Naturally, this will cause a great divide between Andy and his lady Holly (Lauren Bowles), who may be able to offer help with these, ahem, unusual children. "Holly's a compassionate soul, so it's entirely possible, but he works it real hard to get back in her good graces," Bowles says.

13. No More Smoke Monsters:

That evil vengeful smoke monster that was haunting Terry (Todd Lowe) and Patrick (Scott Foley) last season is officially gone, but Patrick's presence is still felt this year.

"Terry is still carrying some residual guilt over killing his marine commander last season, so that guilt starts to wear on his mind and we'll see how that manifests," Lowe says. "Patrick is brought up again, but he's dead."

Lowe also teases that it will be a very emotional season for Terry and Arlene (Carrie Preston).

14. Reunion Time!

Anna Camp will reprise her role as Sarah Newlin, the former wife of Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian). But just because her hubby turned into a vampire does not mean she's given up on her quest to take those bloodsuckers down.

"Their marriage has taken a big turn for the worse since Steve has become a vampire, so it's a rough reunion," McMillian says and adds that old Steve would've been thrilled to see others carrying on his legacy of hating vampires.

But now? Not so much.

Default "True Blood" is back for Season 6 -- and very naked

http://www.thedailybeast.com/article...-watching.html

At this point, is nudity the only reason to watch the HBO series?
